Q: Should I take the COVID-19 vaccine?

Q: Can I bring someone with me to my appointment?

 A: Please feel free to bring a companion for support. Gynaecological consults may include internal exam and the support is very welcome. You can also ask to be booked in hospital outpatient where you have also nursing support.


Q: I am less than 20 weeks pregnant and have some bleeding, what does this mean?

 A: This is called threatened miscarriage. If your blood group is Rh negative, you need to receive Rhogam within 72 hours. If you have severe bleeding (a pad every hour,) then you need to go emergency room.


 Q: I AM MORE THAN 20 WEEKS AND I HAD BLEEDING AND SOME CONTRACTIONS?

 A: You need to be assessed in labour room triage unit. You may be in preterm labour. Also you may need Rhogam if your blood group is Rh Negative. 


 Q: I am pregnant and have flu , fever, or muscle ache?

 A: Majority are caused by viral infection. Keep your temperature under control with Tylenol and drink plenty of fluids. If needed call your own family physician. Please be courteous and wear a mask to protect others.


Q: Can I get my results by email?


A: Due to privacy concerns we prefer to avoid email communications. We resort to it only for your own convenience. Please be aware of that concern and avoid email interactions. 


Most labs and hospitals have secure access to your own results. Please approach them to get access. William Osler has MY CHART system where you can get access to you results.
